Category: End Game

Gauntlgrym is end game content (Level 60) designed with guilds partially in mind as you must be in a guild before you can access it. This doesn’t mean you need to queue as a guild or even go to Gauntlgrym with guild members – you just *have* to belong to a guild and your guild leader must have chosen a side to be able to enter Gauntlygrm. To find out more details, just keep reading.

Assuming you are in a guild, you have to get the guild leader to accept the quest from Sergeant Knox to picking sides for the Gauntlgrym content. The guild leader needs to travel to the Trade of Blades. Once there, he’ll need to talk to the two different promoters located in the back, the Delzoun Recruiter and the Luskan Recruiter.

After talking to both the Delzoun Recruiter and Luskan Recruiter, the guild leader has to decide which side to join. If you have friends in another guild that have joined one side, you may want to join it. Otherwise, just pick one – it really doesn’t matter. Talk back to the Recruiter whose side you want to join. Keep in mind you cannot pick a side while Gauntlgyrm is active – to check to see if Gauntlgrym is active, check your Upcoming Events by pressing the L key on your keyboard and look at the bottom of the Welcome to Neverwinter Home screen. If you see “Iron Tabernacle, Armories of Moradin or Delzoun Crypts” active then you’ll have to wait until the events are over in order to pick a side.

Now that your guild has chosen a side, you are ready to go to the Gauntlgrym area! To access the area, you simply have to go to any one of the gates in Protector’s Enclave (the same gates you use to travel to other areas). Just click the gate, and click the Gauntlgrym location to travel there.

After entering Gauntlgrym, you can talk to the Liaison whose side you joined (Luskan or Delzoun) to learn about the three phases of Gauntlgrym.

Phase 1: The Iron Tabernacle (PVE)

During this phase, you must gear up your faction with drops by killing mobs and collecting their drops as well as completing objectives. Doing good in this phase is just as important as Phase 2 so keep it up!

Phase 2: The Armories of Moradin (PVP)

During this phase, you’ll have to fight the opposing faction in a 20v20 PVP battle. You’ll also be able to complete other objectives that will give you advantages during battle. Stay vigilant!

Phase 3: Looting the Crypts (PVE)

The final phase involves completing a dungeon. The winning faction gets access to the Dwarf King’s Crypt which will award Tier 2 items. The losing faction gains access to the Fardelver Crypt.
